AD's response

Thank you so much! Robert has asked me to stay off Twitter and my blog and everything today. I knew you guys would be worried so I snuck a peak anyway, lol! I'll let you know everything that happens. Plan is for me to go into the office tomorrow, get what I can, then leave for lunch and not go back. Also, hopefully Robert will escort me to Sara, though now he's pretty nervous 'cause their other colleague disappeared today. Don't think he wants to leave his wife & kids and I can't blame him.

Anyway, hugs! Have a great party tonight!

love,
Alex

Email to AD re: tomorrow

Hey Alex.

Checking in again. I hope you've had a restful weekend with Bobby. Sara has given us an id

A few ideas from me and the CTPs:

1) Get prepaid mobiles for you and Bobby. Your personal phone may be tapped and / or the sim card may be being tracked. Once you use up the prepaid mobile's minutes, pitch it and buy a new one. This way you can keep the chances of being tracked through your mobile to a minimum.

2) Make sure Bobby is on site tomorrow. Check in OFTEN with each other either by talking or texting. Have a security question or code words like you have for me and chixor, and ask them. Ask them often, but make it sound casual. the client probably has surveillance on their employees, which now includes you, since you manage their account.

3) Have an escape route for every room you're in. Try not to go anywhere that has only one exit.

4) Once you get the information, preferably before lunch, leave. Don't look back, don't clear out your desk, don't say goodbye to anyone, don't let on that you're doing anything other than going to lunch.

5) Eat nothing and drink nothing that you haven't packed yourself. This includes anything on the way to work, so no latte in the morning! Pack only sealed food and drink from Bobby's home. Act like you're at a frat party -- once you put the food / drink down, it's gone. Don't touch it again

6) Trust no one at work. The client works with the brain, which leads me to believe they have access to drugs that will mess with your mind and possibly your perception of reality. If at any moment you feel unsure of your safety, leave. You are more important than any intelligence we may gather.

I had kind of a shady childhood, if you can't tell.

Alex's response

Awwh, thank you! Your email made me cry. You are so wonderful! Why didn't I know you before all this?

I'm getting dressed and going to meet the Robert guy. I PROMISE I'll email right after and let you know everything that happens.

Thank you from the bottom or my heart!

My response to Alex

Alex --

Oh g-d, you did watch the video. I was hoping you didn't -- too disturbing.

First off, two glasses of wine is not much at all, especially if you were eating as well. From my experience in medicine, I have the feeling that you were drugged. Your experience is about the same as girls who show up in the emergency department -- especially with the fact that the two of you made love and then he was sorry about it.

Can you give me a picture of Matt? I want to make sure that if I ever run into him I can punch him in the teeth! (sorry, that was my protectiveness kicking in. but I still would like to have a picture.)

Getting home to your apartment without knowing how is way strange too. I mentioned this to my husband, and his red flags are kicking in. This is not normal behavior at all. I know Matt and Liz are unavailable right now, but I'm here for you. I would not trust Matt at all right now, even if he has a "good explanation" for what happened. Too many weird things are going on, and Matt has been acting strange too. Not letting you hear Sara out, especially since you were safe in a public place, having all of those mood swings, and now this? Please don't trust him right now. Maybe you could go home for a little but. Thanksgiving is coming up, and you should have that off.

I am so, so, so sorry, sweetheart. You remember in the video how you trusted Sara? Please, please. please trust her now. If I could, I would fly up to NYC right now to help you, but I can't, so please trust her and her associates for me.

Love you, sweetie.

Ella

Alex's response to my checking in -- please advise!

Hi, Ella! Sorry - don't mean to worry you. I think I had my heart broken on top of seeing myself die :( Matt's not answering my calls, can't find Liz, I woke up at my place, on the couch and don't know how I got here. I had only two glasses of wine last night, that isn't much, right? And then I cried and Matt was so nice and he took me to his place and held me... and then we made love... and then he got up and said he was sorry, and I wanted to ask him what was wrong, but I think I fell asleep and then I woke up on my couch.

I keep hoping all of it was a dream :( I want to go back to sleep and wake up and have it all be like it was.

Any ideas?

Dr. Kingsley

Now, there's a new twitter account: @FutureAlexD. She clames to be Alex Dawson from the future and is trying to get her, I don't know, younger self? to act against Rossum. I only have one question for you.

How can someone from the future be contacting people in the past?

Ella

Stay out of her e-mail! ;-)

Her reply:

Thank you, Ella. I am currently making trip arrangements and should be in AZ tomorrow evening. I am also, I admit, quite concerned.

Furthermore, someone sent me a message that my personal account at Spectrin has also been hacked. This is very upsetting. If you or your friends have had anything to do with this, I understand your motives to get to the bottom of things, but hope you will respect my privacy in the future.

Sara
Dr. Kingsley,

What would be required to test the recipe?

In response to Kepler, he is known in some circles as a sustainable designer -- that is, he creates self contained living spaces. His spaces have everything you'd need to live: air purification, water purification, food. My ex-boyfriend was into sustainable design and admired the guy, so that's how I know about him. James joked that the guy built places that had everything you'd need to survive an apocalypse. You'd never have to leave.

There's a new login as well, for the Rossum website:

log in: koji.takahashi
password: 962

I don't really know what it leads to -- but I think it works, if you wanted to look into Rossum more.

Email chain

My initial e-mail:

Dr. Kingsley,

I found your company through a mutual friend, and I think that you can help me. A few days ago I started following a blog belonging to a woman in NYC, Alex Dawson. She works in PR for a company who's major client is Rossum Corporation -- you know, the entity Senator Perrin is investigating? Anyways, at the same time, this website, Ditch The Tech went viral. There's been several videos posted on the website, and I noticed that the woman in them looked like her. She admits that the woman in the video looks and sounds like her as well. I've been thinking about this for a while, and I can only think of one explanation.

I think she's sending a message from the future. I know this sounds really crazy, but I have this feeling that she's trying to warn us about Rossum -- she mentions the company several times, specifically how they caused all of the problems in the future. I know a little about Rossum -- I'm a scientist and they recruit a lot at my alma mater, but the only people I know who work there don't have the best moral compass.

I think you're the best shot I have. I don't want anything to happen to Alex. Ever since she found out about the videos, she's been scared.

Can you help?

Ella

Her response:

Hello, Ella!
Your email is very troubling. I agree there is a likeness between the woman in the video and the one running the blog. However, how do you know this isn't in fact a PR stunt? I am not dismissing the fluidity of time, however if the alegations against Rossum have merit and the warnings are indeed true, then we may be at the brink of a catastrophe.
The Spectrin site has had a surge in traffic and e-mail over the past week. I am puzzled why people are inquiring about my recent trip to Iceland and how they know about it in the first place. Do youknow if the interest is related to the sites you mention?
Sara

My response:

Dr. Kingsley

I'm pretty sure that it's not a PR stunt -- I mean, Rossum doesn't need any more bad press right now, and the videos mention the company quite harshly. I know they're having problems with stockholders because of the investigation. I heard from a friend that Rossum mass-called all of them a few days ago to assure the stockholders -- but there apparently was a funny modem sound at the end of the message.

You've just come back from Iceland? (cold!) Here's what I know about the websites:

Originally, the WipeTheFuture webstie required a login: 69B and a passcode: 478. After one logged in, the following information was shown

Sara at Spectrin
Heiti is Key

People got the Iceland connection from googling Heiti and you, I guess, from the first line. The latest login / password combination (#matt / dendrobium) gives us an ingredient list:

1 quart witch hazel
1tbsp glycerin
1tbsp propylene glycol
1 pinch crossed out (we think it's Rhodiola rosea)
1/2 pinch unknown (thought is that it might be Boswellia serrata)

And then, underneath: sara. cuts on.

Alex Dawson has a Twitter account @AlexfromPR, which is where people have been finding the login clues from. The
Dendrobium are her favorite flower and the #matt is how her boyfriend (I guess?) signed the card he sent with it.

That's all I know.

Ella

Her response:

Ella,
You have been very informative and for this I thank you. Your email, along with a number of others, describe troubling events to which I have begun giving credence. Someone also pointed out to me that Rossum appears to have branches both in Akranes and Tucson (which is a possible anagram for the clue you sent me). I am considering flying out there to investigate.
Please pardon the rushed nature of this email. If any of these clues are real, then time is of the essense and there is less-than-altruistic work afoot.
Regarding the recipe that was posted on the encrypted website, it s very similar to one given to me by an old woman in Akranes. The last ingredient she told me was "heiti" and though I tried on numerous occasions to get more specifics, this is all I have. The Boswellia suggestion is curious, but I don't see why they wouldn't have just named that herb if it were the one. I'll gather the ingredients and test, but of course I would need someone to test on and that's not immediately available.
I will be in touch after I discuss with my collagues. I admit you Twitterites have been an asset.
Sara

I will post my response.
